All practicing surgeons must be licensed to offer their services to patients. However, Board Certified doctors are recognized as having achieved, and continue to maintain, the highest standards within their profession. When surgeons become Board Certified, they are given the title “Diplomate”.
Surgeons who become Board Certified do so voluntarily, deciding to meet additional standards above and beyond what standard licensing requires. They must submit a portfolio of cases, take an intensive written examination, and also a lengthy oral examination to test immediate recall knowledge.
All of our surgeons, Dr. Conlon, Dr. Bruksch, Dr. Ozment, Dr. Richard, and Dr. VanOven, are Board Certified, and we are proud of the fact that we are strongly dedicated to providing our patients with the very highest quality in care and service.
